Recently, I met a guy in Nashik, he has created a decent business group, turnover >200 crores, first generation, very diligent, hardworking.
He showed me a watch which he recently bought, it was a Tissot worth 12K.
Met a young real estate developer in Naigoan, Mumbai, has started on his own, truly believes in customer service, delivered more than 1 Mn sft.
He’s been driving same car for last 10 years.
Another businessman in Navi Mumbai, group turnover about 100 crores, first generation, he bought XUV after 8 years of using first car.
Other than business intelligence, what’s similarity in all these guys??
One more in Jaipur, owns 3 hotels, 5 dhabas and more than 15 shops on Rent.
Still mostly drives his 7 year old Honda Bike.
Similarity is – they all keep business needs first….self needs in last
You know ‘Marshmallow experiment’ of Stanford ….I think all these guys represent those kids who didn’t take toffee in first go..
Entrepreneurship equals deep sacrifice of personal time + countless sleepless nights + few real frustrating failures…..
One more similarity, they all know that – owning ‘Armani and Apple’ doesn’t help in business growth…. delaying gratification mostly does……
